Reflexology

Reflexology was developed in the Western world in the 1930’s by Eunice Ingham who found Reflex Zones on the feet and hands corresponding to all the bodies major organs and glands. Reflexology is a natural gentle holistic therapy, which treats individuals on all levels – physical, mental, and emotional helping to re-balance the body and mind. Reflexology is noted as a therapy for preventative health care and is often recommended to help relax persons working in stressful situations as it may also help promote inner feelings of contentment and well being to keep individuals in good shape and ward off illnesses.

Facial Reflexology (Sorensensistem™)

Sorensensistem™ Facial Reflexology, which Lone Sorensen invented, researched, and developed is her lifetime’s work. Lone Sorensen is internationally honored and regarded as the world’s most famous facial reflexologist.

Graham Sluter has studied and trained with Lone Sorensen as his tutor and mentor in Sorensensistem™ Face, Foot & Hand Reflex Therapies since 2003.

Facial reflexology is a new generation complementary holistic therapy suitable for women, men and children of all ages and physical conditions. It is a natural gentle therapy especially noted for its calming effects and holistic approach to help deal with life stresses.

Look good and feel good
The Sorensensistem™ 7-step facial treatment uses therapeutic techniques developed by Lone from the South American Mapuche Indians together with combinations of some specific Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese micro-body Acupressure Points on the face incorporated with Western Reflexology and Zone Therapy together with Tibetan and Oriental Energy Meridians helping to bring the body’s Chi [qi][energy] back into alignment and balance. In this treatment Graham uses Lone Sorensen’s Rosa Mosqueta oil for the stimulation of specific points and gentle massage of zones on the face.

By coincidence, Facial Reflexology Sorensensistem™ techniques often appear to have rejuvenating face-lifting effects as blood flow is stimulated and facial lymphatic drainage improves helping to give a naturally glowing complexion.

Holistic Massage (full body)

Massage is a system of manipulation of the soft tissues of the body with the aim of achieving both physical and mental relaxation. Virtually all cultures have developed some form of massage and it is probably one of the oldest therapies known to mankind. Massage may promote healing reactions by helping to improve the circulation and blood-flow and stimulating the lymphatic system. Aches, pains and muscular-skeletal problems may all benefit. Massage may help relieve anxiety, improve sleep patterns and promote relaxation. Active or inactive people may all benefit from holistic massage as it may help to tone and detoxify the muscles, improve skin texture and ease general tensions.

Graham is a qualified Holistic Massage masseur for classic traditional massage using a medium pressure.
(Availability: Book in advance if a male therapist is specifically requested.)
